October 27, 2004 Believe!

On October 27, 2004, I was lucky enough to watch my Boston Red Sox win the world series, and get to photograph the lunar eclipse at the same time. A truly magical night.

I have been lucky enough to call the beautiful state of Vermont my home since I was born.

It's here in Vermont that I learned to enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors. As a teen I spent many days hunting and fishing, as well as backpacking along the long trail, Vermont's footpath through the wilderness. besides photography, I still enjoy hiking (with my camera of course), cycling, and horseback riding.

Most of the images on this site were taken in Vermont. and you may guess that Autumn is my favorite time of year, especially to be out with a camera.

I picked up a Canon AE-1 camera as a teen and have enjoyed photography ever since.

A trip to Alaska in 1998 gave me a greater desire to capture the natural beauty in the world around us.

With the introduction of digital technology, photography is changing in leaps and bounds. I swapped my 35mm equipment for a digital SLR less than a year ago, and I am finding it the perfect tool to capture wildlife with.

Whether I capture an image on film or digital sensor, I do all of my own "darkroom" work with photoshop. I find this work to be almost as enjoyable as capturing the image. All film is drum scanned to get the highest amount of detail possible. I do all of my own fine art printing up to 13x19 inches in size.

Today I reside in the historic town of Tunbridge, Vermont.

I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed creating them!
